This is my first time professionally training a puppy. DTE has made this experience so enjoyable and rewarding for me and my pup.

Absolutely professional experience from start to finish. I wanted to certify Sophie as a Therapy dog, and Coleen and her staff helped me do it. Positivity is the key, teaching owners, me, how to train my dog to be the kind of dog we all want our dogs to be. Trevor, lead trainer, is a dog whisperer, with an amazing ability to teach dog-owner pair to work together. I knew a lot about dogs. Like to think I could have gotten where we are without help. But I know that isn’t true. It would have taken me years, if ever, to get the level of responsiveness from Sophie. Elite is there for you whenever you need them for advice. Plenty of individual sessions and endless group classes. Fantastic people, providing insight and support. Best doggie decision I ever made. Thank you Trevor. Thank you Elite! And now Sophie is a certified therapy dog, looking forward to her new career!

Elite worked wonders with our micro bernadoodle teddy. His excessive barking ceased as well as his attention seeking behaviors.

Little did we know when we signed up for Northern Elite dog training with Colleen and Trevor that their passion and commitment to quality, service, and fun ran so deep. We love the group classes and when I was struggling with programming the remote to our educator collars, Colleen took it home with her to have her team fix it for me. Then she dropped it off at my door! Doesn’t get better than that. They may never get rid of me and my pups!

We couldn’t be happier with how our dog is doing after 6 weeks of in home training! We have started group classes … which to us are a bonus! Our dog is so well behaved and follows all commands just from the in home training! All the trainers are so kind and easy to work with!

Colleen, Trevor and Taylor are amazing. We started training with them when my golden retriever was 14 months old. Eight months later, she is a well trained sweet dog.

Colleen and the entire team (especially Trevor and Taylor) were fantastic to work with. Our 8 month old puppies behavior and obedience went from lackluster to outstanding in less than 2 months. I would absolutely recommend them.

As soon as my wire haired pointer started training it was a noticeable difference and at the end of the first week it was night and day difference like she was a completely different dog. They do absolutely fantastic with their training and keep very good communication with everything and anything you could possibly need! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to get their pup trained!

They have been so supportive through my whole process. At first, I wasn’t sure if a service dog could help me and at the consultation they taught me all of the ways a dog could help me and recommended some breeds that would be a good fit. Then Colleen drove 3 hours to the breeder to do the temperament test on 2 potential puppies to make sure whichever we chose would be able to handle the training and expectations of his job. Then the hard part of picking between 2 adorable puppies … that was on us 😜.

Training started 3 days after bringing the puppy home. Starting with the absolute basics! Through the puppy training, basic obedience and now public access we have worked with multiple trainers who are all aware of my needs and our pup’s personality. They have all been knowledgeable, kind, and patient with our pup and with me and all of my questions.

Before this, I’ve never had a dog that would walk with a loose leash, now I have a 5 month old pup that everyone asks how he became so well behaved and stays by my side!!! I tell everyone about Dog Training Elite of Northern Utah! I can’t recommend them enough for all types of training, but especially for potential service dog needs.

I can’t thank them enough! My wild first experience was with my unruly husky mix who didn’t care to listen. After they helped us I am excited to take him out and about, he loves the attention he gets by showing off. And we now have our Great Dane in their training program and I’m so happy with the improvement we’ve seen. Thank you!

From the very first day I expressed interest in training my goldie, Ry, to be a service dog, this wonderful team has made the process nothing but positive. I can’t recommend them enough. From Chaos to Calm: A True Dog Transformation ✨
Just two months ago, I was at my breaking point.
My 10-month-old Chow Chow, Appa, was completely out of control—biting, mouthing, humping, and even injuring people. Two of my houseguests actually left my home bleeding. I couldn’t handle him, and honestly, I was scared. Scared for my friends, my family, and myself. I loved my dog, but I was ready to give up.

I have worked with Elite dogs for almost two years. I needed a mobility dog because I have little upper body strength and walk with assisted devices. I have a 1.5 yo male lab who is bred for service. He is incredible and with the help of Elite dogs giving me back my independence.

The end goal is to have him on a harness to hold me up and to fetch items for me. To that end I sought the help from Elite dogs.

It’s a great program, very comprehensive, combining group play with other dogs and private lessons as well. The owner participates.

The trainers are highly qualified and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this group.

Dog Training Elite Northern Utah… has been the most fullfiling experience. Our dogs have been so much better behaved. We still have some issues but once the command has been given to the dog even if it still takes a minute for it to register; it is so much better than before. We were getting frustrated with the dogs not listening. Now its day and night with them. Oh and the best thing besides that, is the employees who work for them. They are outstanding, super awesome, and the absolute best trainers I’ve worked with. I had one before but with that one it was hurry and get the training done. These guys will answer with empathy, professionalism and understanding. They are a joy to be around. The money spent was the best investment I have made. I have had a great time working with DTE-NU and looking forward to continue working with them. Not only have they done amazing with training and service, they also are very understanding and flexible. I went through a rough financial situation and they were kind enough to work with me with no penalties. It literally made a WORLD of difference in a very stressful part of my life. I have a very well trained service pup all thanks to them.
